Combining my passion for wine with business opportunities in the Wachau region, one of Austria's most prestigious wine regions, is the basis of my philosophy.

I believe in quality, authenticity and strong partnerships. My goal is to help wineries expand their reach and find new business opportunities.

With many years of experience in sales, inspired by my passion for wine and different cultures, I founded W.E.R.O. - the Wine Export Relations Organization. This organization is dedicated to optimizing wine exports by breaking down language barriers and creating a deeper connection between winemakers and international traders.

Get to know my story

My wine journey

My journey began in my homeland of Slovakia, where I first entered the world of customer care in 2006. My determination later took me to Austria, where after completing my studies in Slovakia in 2011, I started my first linguistic adventure. Gaining new experiences in gastronomy and hospitality allowed me to delve deeper into the world of services and broaden my horizons.

In 2015, I discovered my love for wine, which inspired me to pursue the first sommelier education, "Diplom Sommelière," in Vienna. In 2017, I moved to England, where I spent two years and continued my wine studies at the prestigious Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), which provided me with deeper expertise and allowed me to further expand my wine and language horizons.

My professional and personal experiences are woven from diverse cultures and languages, enabling me to gain a deep understanding of the various needs and expectations of people. This background forms the foundation of my company, where I combine my two greatest passions: wine and foreign languages. As an empathetic and sociable personality, I recognize that success in this field is not just about selling products but about genuinely understanding and fulfilling the needs of our customers.

Veronika was very knowledgeable about all the wines we tasted, the Wachau region as a whole and the different grapes grown and their taste profiles. The best part for us, was that she spoke exceptional English, unlike some of the other places we visited in the same area. €10 to try 4 different wines, with Veronika's undivided attention explaining all of the different nuances between them. Left with a lovely bottle of Riesling, which in my opinion was the best of the 4. Well worth a visit!

Obsluhovala nás velmi milá Veronika, která má skvělé znalosti o vínech a ochotně poradí s výběrem. Je vidět, že svou práci dělá s nadšením. Po předchozí domluvě je možné zajistit i degustaci s občerstvením, což je skvělá příležitost pro všechny milovníky vína. Určitě doporučuji navštívit.
